We are very pleased with the interest in the tournament, not only among Czech teams, but also teams from abroad. We are very sorry, but since the end of May, we have been forced to refuse those interested in participating in the tournament, or put them on a waiting list.
In the U11 category, which will be played completely in Kladno for the second time, we have sixteen teams, thirteen of them from the Czech Republic, Angels Trnava from Slovakia and Wr. Neustadt Diving Ducks and Vienna Wanderers from Austria. Each team will play a total of six games in the tournament, three in one of the four main groups and the other three will decide the final team placement. Last year's win will be defended by the Dragons Brno. The first game is scheduled for Thursday at 1:00 p.m., and we should know the winner of the U11 category on Sunday around 3:00 p.m.
There was such a huge interest in the U13 category that we agreed to expand the number of teams to twenty, and yet there are still two teams on the waiting list. In addition to the eighteen Czech teams, we have Angels Trnava from Slovakia and the Austrian A Team. Each team will have a seven-game portion from Thursday morning until Sunday afternoon. We should know the winners around 3 p.m. as well. Last year's U13 winners Hroši Brno have been coming to this tournament since the beginning of the tournament, so they won't be missing this year either and we look forward to seeing if they can defend their victory from last year's 11th edition.
In the oldest category of 15 years old we also have 16 teams, twelve Czech teams and Austrian A Team, German Bandits Travel and two representatives from Poland Centaury Warsaw and Barons Wroclaw. Last year's winners Eagles Prague are among the teams entered, and their venue will host the bulk of the matches in this category. The first match is scheduled for Thursday at 11:00 and we should know the winner on Sunday around 16:00.
We firmly believe that this will be an important preparation for all teams before the start of the autumn part of the 2025 season. We would like to thank the City of Prague, Veolia Energy and the Northwest Region, a branch of the CBA, for their financial support of the tournament, without which we would not be able to organize such a large tournament. A big thank you must also go to all Prague baseball clubs and Miners Kladno, because this year's tournament will be played at five venues in Prague and two venues in Kladno.
